Spring Break 2025

Happy Monday! I hope that everyone is having a good day! I am back to reality, and it sucks! Haha Last week was spring break, and I was living my best life. I read 4 books, I took lots of naps, got lots of outside time in, went to the zoo, went to a clearance grocery store and spent with friends! Overall good spring break!

I read 4 books I finished one that I started before spring then I read 4 full bucks then I started another. A quick overview

The Surgeon ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A few twists I wasn’t quite ready for!

Girl One ⭐⭐⭐ Over all I enjoyed it a little scifi

The lost dreamer ⭐⭐⭐ I don’t know what I was expecting from this book, but this wasn’t it. It was ok

Sally’s Lament ⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is a twisted tale. It was a twist on the nightmare before Christmas. This one didn’t do well on Goodreads, but I really liked it!

The Inmate ⭐⭐⭐⭐ These Frieda McFadden books are fast reads! 2 twists I wasn’t ready for! I recommend it. It wasn’t my favorite of hers, but it was good!

I went to the zoo with my friend Nancy. We spent about 2.5 hours outside. I hadn’t been to the zoo in like 15 years! It was fun. I also hadn’t seen Nancy in a long time, so it was nice to see her too! That same day we went to the clearance grocery store. It is called Town Talk. I got a Giant Costco sized box of pretzels for 1.99! The grocery situation was good and interesting but the time I got to spend with Hester and Seely was even better!

My outside time really ramped up this week! The zoo was outside, I sat on patios and drank coffee, I went on a cruise to a little pond/lake, I watched some baseball games! I did about 10 hours of outside time this week. That out me up to about 46 hours. I know that doesn’t seem like a lot. Really it isn’t! haha I know that now that the weather is getting better It should be easier to get in some outside time! I now need to do about 3.4 hours per day. I have been having lunch in the courtyard at school so that is about 30 minutes a day. I will keep you updated on what I can get in the rest of the month.

Today I am in a professional development day but I don’t feel professionally developed! These days are so frustrating. I wish that we could get training that is relevant and useful. I have been in the district for 16 years and specifically in the science department for 13 years and I have seen a lot of these things already. Like over and over and over. This was helpful to me the first time I saw it, not the 5th. It is frustrating for sure! I should go get the “assignment” done so that they let me leave for lunch! I hope that everyone has a great week!
