Happy Wednesday! I hope that everyone is doing well! I am melting here in Texas! How are you doing? I have 2 more days of this summer class. It was fast and furious. However, It was a good class and I highly recommend it! Then my summer starts. Let’s be honest this class hasn’t really gotten to much in the way of my summer! I played bunco last night with some friends. If you don’t know bunco it is a dice game. Um… That is really all there is it it! haha anyway, I won! I hadn’t won in years! I know that sounds like I am exaggerating but really!
So my favorite part of summer is trying new places. I don’t know why I get this “I need to try new places” bug once summer hits. There is a place in fort worth called K-Town Hot Dogs. Contrary to what the name suggests there weren’t any hot dogs they were corndogs. I had just a plain corn dog but they put sugar on it. It was interesting. They have different types of meats or cheeses you can get battered. There are also different kinds of batter. It was kinda like the corn dog place that used to be in the mall. I miss that place. I might try the cheese one next time. If there is a next time. The food was ok, the service was slightly less than ok.

So on top of there not being hot dogs I had another issue. This might be an unpopular opinion. However, this need to tip everywhere and everyone for everything is getting out of control. I am not going to tip someone just for doing their job. You didn’t do anything above and beyond. At the “hot dog” place I went up to the counter to put in my order, when my order was done she called my number and I went back up to the counter to get my corndog, and I had to ask 2 times for the drink that I ordered and paid for. I understand if I go out to eat and someone waits on my. They bring me a drink, and keep it filled. They bring me my food and anything else I need. I have no problem tipping them! The problem I have is the cashier that takes my order then does nothing else wanting a tip. If I am not mistaken this kid was probably getting paid at least minimum wage. Here she is trying to get me to give her 15%, 18% or 20%. Those were the options and an “other”. Don’t get me wrong 20% on 10 bucks is 2, I get that. However, what exactly am I tipping for? Because you came to work? You didn’t come to my table to take my order, you didn’t bring me my food and on top of everything you weren’t very friendly. I did choose other and I choose 0.00. Call me cheap or a jerk but these are my feelings on tipping. What are your thoughts?
