Happy Friday! How is everyone doing? I am trying not to melt here in Texas! The weather is ridiculous! I have been trying to do a lot of indoor things. The little rain shower we got yesterday was nice! We not only needed the rain the nice little cool down was refreshing! I came in fast and hard and Gabbana was all freaked out with the thunder and such. We lost power for a little bit then I took a 3 hour nap.
Car update: Well the guy from the collision center called me today to tell me that things didn’t look good. That he sent the information to the insurance but when they got in to start taking a look at my car it needed more work done than they anticipated from the outside. So after a trip to 3 different Honda dealers it looks like this is going to be a stressful hunt! I have a few decisions to make but really I have to wait for the insurance to get a hold of me.
I give a lot of myself during the school year. That is on me and I am aware of that. I get to work early, I leave late. Sometimes later than I should. Because of that I started something a few years ago. I started no work July! I know it doesn’t really roll off the tongue. Doesn’t have an alliteration but that is the fanciest name I have come up with! I don’t do any professional development during July. I try not to do any kind of curriculum kind of work. A couple days ago I thought maybe I will make a power point for the first day of school then I thought “Nah! I will start a movie and take a nap!” Since I haven’t been doing work I have had more time to read and watch movies. I take the month off for my mental health. So here I am blogging every 2 days, reading and watching movies! I do have a list of things that need to get done before we go back to school but right now I am just making a list of them, not doing them! If at any point the anxiety of the fact that I have a to do list and am not checking things off gets too much I will dabble. But for now, I will rest! I will also shamelessly plug my Amazon Wish list (That’s clickable!). If you feel like being generous I would be very grateful! Don’t worry I still appreciate you even if you don’t!
Book update: I finished The lightening thief! It was pretty good! I am going to get the second book for sure! Have you read it? It was good and there were some pretty intense parts! I started using LibraryThing thanks to Tana. I like it. I am going around scanning all my books into the app! I started reading where the crawdads sing this morning.
Movie update: I mentioned in the last blog that I am watching a movie I have never seen from every year that I have been alive. So far this is the list that I have. Now the problem is finding the movies. So if any one has these I can borrow I would greatly appreciate it! I have watched most of the ones I can find online! I still have to add some movies from 04-22 but this is a good start!
- 86 Hoosiers
- 87 adventures in babysitting
- 88 Beaches
89 Steel Magnolias90 Good fellas- 91 Point Break

If you have any suggestions for movies for the year 05 to today please let me know. Even better if you also own the movie I could borrow! Well I hope that all of you have a great weekend! I am going to either go watch a movie or take a nap! haha it has been a stressful afternoon! Maybe not stressful so much as shocking. I just wasn’t prepared for it! My dad’s life motto is “everything happens for a reason” so I just have to go forward with that mentality.
