Happy Tuesday! I hope that everyone is doing well! I am surviving! Last week was one of the most stressful weeks I have had to deal with in a very long time. This insurance crap has been a pain in the butt! On top of all the writing I should be doing for class. Yes, that is what I should be doing now. I hit a wall so I am taking a break. I have joked around with a couple people recently that yes that was a stressful week but I haven’t dyed my hair or put a hole in my ear which is some mental health growth! However I am thinking I might dye my hair this evening. I took the hair dye out of the box Thursday evening! Haha
I had been planning on going to New Mexico for a couple weeks. I was going to drive, take Gabbana and enjoy some family time. Now with all this car crap I am not going to be able to go and I am super bummed! There is clearly a reason that I shouldn’t be driving to New Mexico. I know my parents are bummed too. It has been really hard to find the sunshine in this whole car situation! I mean the biggest “sunshine” is that I wasn’t hurt, Gabbana wasn’t with me, my car can be fixed.
The update on the car situation. The insurance finally got a hold of the other driver, they have accepted liability and I have taken my car to get an estimate. The only problem now is that the earliest I could get a car was Thursday. Yes, that is Thursday the 30th! I was supposed to hear from the shop yesterday and they didn’t call but I also didn’t reach out either because I am not taking my car in until I have a car to drive. I will call tomorrow and see what is going on. So basically still dealing with this crap! haha
I met up with some people from class to sit at panera and write the last couple of days. Saturday we made an impression on a very friendly (and nosey) guy when we were talking about TCU. When he went to leave he leaned in to our table and wished us luck on our higher education and then told us “I teach at TCU, It is worth it! Keep going!” Which was kind of a strange statement because none of us said anything that might imply we weren’t going to keep going! Haha but he was nice! Yesterday I stayed there for the entire shift of one of the young ladies. When I got there she was clocking in and while I was sitting in the corner writing she left. I was like oh snap! I still have about 4 more pages to write before Thursday. I was able to use some of this knowledge in a conversation today so that was cool! Haha
I have 2 more classes for my first summer session! I have really enjoyed not only the class but also the challenge and meeting new people! I usually take off the month of July for my mental health. I say that I do no school work but the truth is I do the fun stuff! Like making posters or fun presentations that I will use in the upcoming year. But if I am working and someone says “Naomi let’s go to the pool!” or “Naomi meet me at IHOP at 2 in the morning” I will for sure put my “work” down and go! I don’t do anything that requires my undivided and professional attention! Haha
So I have taken a while to write this blog because I didn’t know where I wanted it to go. First I wanted to take a moment to say Thank you. And you are thinking about what? Well for joining me on this blog journey! This blog post is my 100th blog! I was looking back on some of my blogs, like the one I posted a year ago about my scary experience at the MGM, or the ones where I dedicated a blog to my dad, mom, grandmas, parents, and coffee. I have documented online dating and basically just funny things that happen to me. (those are clickable if you wanna check some or all of them out!) It started out so many years ago as just an outlet and today it is still an outlet but now I have followers that bug me for updates! Don’t worry Maria, I secretly like it! Haha
I went back and read some of my other blogs when I was preparing for this one and I have really enjoyed sharing my life with y’all! As we go forward for the next 100 posts is there anything you want to know more about? Something you want me to talk less about? So again I say thank you and I look forward to the next 100 posts!
