Good afternoon everyone! I hope that everyone is doing well! I am doing pretty well considering i have no idea what work is going to look like in the coming weeks! I am living very much an out of sight out of mind mentality right now. Things are changing almost daily so right now I am not worried or stressed out about it. Simply because if I let myself go there I might not come back! Haha I do know that whatever happens I hope that I am able to go to the school to do my teaching. I do not want to teach from home any more! They have come up with some sort of plan but, we will see if that one holds up in the next couple weeks.
Those of you that know me know how I feel about a list. I will put just about anything into a list! Usually I use my bullet journal to keep track of my list. Stay tuned for a bullet journal blog. That one is coming soon! Well I have found a website that I love! Have you ever heard of the website called the day zero project? Well it is a website where you can create lists of things you want to accomplish. They are most known for their 101 things in 1001 days. I have started it before and didn’t finish it. I was doing it in a time when I just wasn’t ready for it! Haha but now I am working on a new set of 101 things. Some of them I am working really hard at completing others are just kinda falling into place. For instance one of the goals was to read 100 books. That seemed like it would be easy, I like to read so each book I finish just goes towards that count. I am always up for suggestions for books to read!
There are some that I haven’t even started like watching 25 documentaries, Watch a movie from every year I have been alive. Or watching the oscar nominated movies from the year I was born. You think this would be easier than it is. I tried to do some of these during coronocation but some of them were hard to find, Or really some just didn’t seem like something I wanted to watch haha.
Some of the things on the list I need a little help. Learn how to say hello in 10 different languages. I believe I am up to 5 languages. So if you know how to say hello in a different language let me know! I don’t know what categorizes a “classic movie” so I still need all 10 of those. I have started taking pictures of things that start with every letter of the alphabet. I am modifying that one just a little bit and I am going to take a picture of a sign that starts with that letter. So I am on a quest for some cool signs. Let me know if you know of any! One of them is to learn to fold 25 paper crafts. I can be a butterfly and a dinosaur, so I have quite a few to go there.
Some of them I have been working on for instance I have taken a picture from the same spot for 11 months. I need one more month then I plan on putting them together to make a calendar! I am pretty excited about that one! There is another picture one where you take a picture of the changing seasons. I am thinking of where I wanna do that one that you can actually see the seasons change here in Fort Worth!
Some of the items are very reflective. Like one of them is to name 100 things that make you happy. I have about 21 things. That isn’t all that makes me happy, that is just the things i think of when I sit down to add to the list. What i need to do is when something warms my heart, makes me happy or laugh i need to write it down even if it isn’t in the place where all the others are, maybe text it to myself. Then I can combine them. Another one that is very reflectie is to make a list of 5 people that have positively impacted my life and write them a letter. I have sent 2 of those letters (actually they were both emails!). I have my list. I just haven’t written them a letter. I have actually started all three of the remaining!
Some of the ones that I have checked off are going to vegas, playing in a pool tournament, go on a picnic, dye my hair, enter a photo contest, watch the sun rise and set on the same day, read a book over 500 pages long, go to 5 museums.
Some of the things on the list are things that are on my bucket list, some of them are reminders to be grateful for the things and people around me. Some of them are to push me out of my comfort zone and others are part of my hobbies that I knew i could complete. It has been a pretty neat experience. I highly recommend everyone look in to it. Stop, I know what you are going to say. “I don’t have time for that”. LIES! Haha sorry that was a bit dramatic but some of the things that I have completed haven’t taken any time that I already wouldn’t use there. For instance the books and movies I already like to read now I am putting a number on how many I want to read! Haha the movies, when I sit down to watch a movie I just make a particular selection. The most time consuming part of the process is picking out your 101 things. I strongly recommend you take a look at it. Let me know if you take a look at it. What are some movies you would consider a classic? What is a book I need to read? What are some things that are on your list? I want to know!
