Happy Friday! I hope that everyone is staying warm! What happened to our spring weather? It has been cold and wet for the last 2 days. It was so cold yesterday morning, and we had a fire drill. So cold! I think it was warmer today. Next week we might get some wintery mix? I don’t mind the cold I just want it to stop jumping around!

I have a coworker that seems pretty mysterious. A few years ago we sort of bonded over coffee. I make coffee just about everyday and the Gym (hes a pe teacher) was across from my classroom. Hone time when he came over I had some Starbucks cups that come with the travelers. He took his cup of coffee and went on his way. The next time he came in for a cup of coffee he was using the same disposable cup. He used that same cup for MONTHS! Finally one day I was at TJMaxx I found a nice blue boy looking cup and bought it for him. I was worried about what might be growing on this disposable cup he was using. You could see coffee stains on the seem of the cup! haha Anyway, I moved classrooms and I still see him some but not everyday! Sometimes he comes for coffee, or sometimes for help with technology

Well he came up to me back in like November and asked me to buy a raffle ticket for his kids soccer team. I think it was soccer. That is how much attention I paid to the situation, I was just like sure here is 10 bucks! He kept trying to tell me all the things I could win. I was just like cool dude, take my money. He was like take a picture of this page of all the things you could win! Really in a situation like this it is not about the winning so much as the donating to the team.

I usually have a very strict “If the kid is the one fundraising then the kid should be the one asking me” policy! But I couldn’t tell him no! haha Come to find out he hit up most of the teachers! In December at a department meeting we were joking around that None of us had heard if we had won so he must have ran off with all of our money! Obviously joking! haha Well when we returned from Christmas break he ran in to me in the hall and was like “Hey congrats! When are you going to the game?” I know I had that look on my face like the little bunny from Secrete life of pets like below. He told me that he thought I won the Mav’s tickets. He checked with his people and yup!

There was a lot of drama about this guy getting me the tickets. He reached out to me and was like hey you won! whats an email address? I gave him one and asked when the game was! So we get to 2 weeks out and I still haven’t seen anything in my email. So I shoot him a text message and he was like “oh it didn’t go through?” Then 4 days before I was like, hey just checking in. I finally got the tickets. For a couple different reasons I went to the game by myself but I still had a lot of fun!

Doesn’t it always seem that when you have one thing going on it is a day that has like a million things going on. That was me Saturday! I went straight from the game to book club! I cannot express how much I have enjoyed hanging out with this group of people! I have been pushed out of my comfort zone a bit, I have read books that I would not have normally picked and I have made some pretty awesome friends. If I have said it once I have said it a thousand times… I have some great friends. I know I have talked about them before! I like how we can usually have some great conversations where people are heard and I feel like I am always pushed to see other perspectives! I love it!!

We read Chain- Gang All stars. It brought up some good questions. I rated this a 4 stars. I highly recommend it. A bit of a trigger warning, it starts out a little gory. If you read it let me know I have questions for you!

Well I hope that all of you have a great valentines day weekend! I think I am going to get some wings and watch a movie tonight! Tomorrow I am getting together with some friends for a galentines! It will be a good time!
