The Chronicles Of Nay

Happy Tuesday! Happy first day back to work for so many of my teacher friends! I took the day to travel back from New Mexico. My break was a great time! I laughed and ate and laughed some more. It was a good time! I got to spend time with my parents and brother and my amazing sister-in-law!

So as I was on the plane I got ginger ale. I love me some ginger ale! Growing up we usually only had coke, diet coke and some sort of lemon lime soda. Maybe a Fanta or a Dr Pepper every now and then. The only time I ever had ginger ale was on one of the 2 flights I had ever taken. So in my child brain you can only get ginger ale in an airplane. Fast forward to high school. Yes you read that correctly. In high school I sometimes went to my friends houses that lived close by! One day one of my friends asks “You want a soda?” I say sure “what do you have?” When she said ginger ale I got so excited I asked for one of those. Then I asked if one of her parents worked for the airline. She told me no. I was so confused. I asked her “then where did you get this ginger ale!?” she said “Walmart?” I know I looked at her with such confusion! When I went home I was also very upset to find out that my mom knew you could get ginger ale at Walmart. she just didn’t know I liked it so she never bought it!

So parents expose your children to new things, then make sure that they know those things out of context too! haha Well some of us have to get up and work in the morning! haha but really I am exhausted I was up early to get on a plane. I had such a great time visiting but I am glad to be back home! Good night!
