I hope that everyone is staying warm, dry and safe. I know that this winter weather is really attacking a lot of people! haha For everyone wondering, I did make it to Farmington! I am glad I came since Tuesday I saw on the news yesterday that Denver flights were not faring well because of the weather.
I don’t know if its the elevation or just the semester catching up to me but I have been exhausted. I took a 2 hour nap yesterday and I am still tired! haha I slept in today. It has been a good time here! I have eaten so much New Mexican food. if you haven’t had New Mexican food, I highly recommend it! My mom and I did some shopping. I have lost some weight and none of my pants fit. My dad was like buy a couple pairs of pants that fit you. I seem to have lost weight in strange places. I tried on every style of jeans in Cato and nothing fit right. It is so sad that I had someone else’s money to spend and I couldn’t find anything to spend it on. I was so sad I hardly spent any money at Hobby Lobby! haha
I am almost halfway through this book and I am still waiting for the plot to thicken. I feel like we are this far in and it is still character development. I am not impressed. I will push through a little longer and let you know. I know I have mentioned dayzeroproject.com before. It is a list of 101 things to do in 1001 days. One of the things on the list is to read 100 books. I just hit book 40! I felt like it was more than that! haha Another item on the list that I crossed off is sort of double dipping. It was to read a book that I was supposed to read in school that I never did. So I read animal farm. I am going to have to read 60 books by September. That is when my 1001 days is up. Maybe I will just extend the time another 1001 days. I mean I get to make up the rules right?!
I think I have come up with my word. I am still trying it out. I will have a blog reflecting the year and preparing for the next year so stay tuned for that blog coming soon.
So a few weeks ago my mom asked who I knew that lived in Albuquerque that would be sending me a letter. I was confused and intrigued by the question. I started listing people that I knew that lived in Albuquerque and she kept saying no this last name is different. I was so confused. She offered to open it, she offered to send it to me and then we decided that I would just get it when I came to New Mexico. Well fast forward to Tuesday. They picked me up from the airport and we got to the house and we were hanging out talking and I found the letter attached to the refrigerator. I bust into it like if I was about to win the lottery. It was a letter. like a hand written letter. I glance down at the name and I have no idea who this person is. I ask my mom and she has no idea. So I go up to the top to start reading the letter. It was a recruitment letter for the Jehovah witnesses.
I am confused. Where did this person get my information. They were writing to me by name. Where did they get their outdated information? I haven’t officially lived at my parents address in 14 years. The 5 years before that I was using my dorm rooms as addresses. I have so many questions. Maybe I should write her back?
Well I am off to spend more time with mom! I hope that everyone stays warm! Merry Christmas Eve Eve!
