The Chronicles Of Nay

Hello happy Friday! I hope that everyone had a great week! I am so glad this week is over. I had a pretty eventful week and final papers and projects due starting tonight and following up with next Monday and Wednesday. I am so ready for Christmas break! I am going to visit my parents so I am looking forward to that!

Ok so let’s start with my week. It’s that time of year that there are like a million things that need to be done and addressed. I like to check things off my todo list and I know we all have todo lists but let’s work together to check things off. Maybe let’s not just ignore things. I have felt very ignored lately!

Well Wednesday afternoon I was headed down the hall to bless someone with a package of coffee when a fight broke out. By the time I got thru the circle of kids the 6th grader had the 7th grader on the floor and she was holding her down and beating her! I tried to yell at them to stop but the 6th grader just kept going. So I tried to pull her off of the 7th grader. At some point the package of coffee in my hand disappeared. Then before I knew it I was on the ground. I just assumed that I was old and lost my footing. Come to find out I was ” como la flor”ed you know in the movie when they were not prepared fora crowd that big and that lady got pushed under the stage and Selena had to come out and do the como la flor and then be like shhhhhhh.

Well that is what happened. This child was pushed then she bumped into me and I ended up on the ground. I smacked my knee pretty bad and it is leaving an amazing bruise! I took today off to go get it checked out to make sure it was just a bruise and not something more serious. So the first picture is an hour after, then before bed Wednesday, When I got up Thursday and then this morning. Stay tuned for more updates on the pretty colors! The general conscience is that I should not have jumped in. I understand my safety is important but I was worried about that kid. It is a tough spot to be in. Thoughts?

You know when you are talking to someone and they are getting passionate about something and they kinda spit a little when they talk? Well that happened to me Thursday. The kid spit right in my eye too! I know he didn’t mean to but in 14 years of teaching this was a first! If I end up with pink eye you all know what happened! I will tell you that by 4:30 on Thursday I was ready for the week to be over!

I was able to turn the paper in that was due this evening, I have another paper to write and a project that I am kinda floundering with. I should get on that, or maybe I will take a nap instead! I will keep y’all updated on my knee and I have another blog that I will post soon after I took a mini poll! I hope everyone has a safe weekend!
