Happy Wednesday! I hope that everyone had a happy and safe 4th of july! My day was good! Spent it with friends and food playing games and in the swimming pool! It was a good day! The city of Fort Worth firework display caused a fire. The news said that FWFD was dispatched to 77 grass fires between 9:30 and 10:30 on the 4th! CRAZY! 

So let’s see… the car drama! Well I spent over 2 hours on Thursday getting a rental car. I dropped my car off at the shop and picked up a rental. They don’t have an appointment for my car until the third week of July but I dropped my car off so that I could get a rental! So I am driving a Jeep Compass. I am not a fan! CUPHOLDERS! There are only 2. And where those 2 are I can not fit 2 sonic drinks very well into them. You are thinking Naomi, why do you need 2 sonic drinks? And to that I respond with mind your business! Jk haha but really sometimes I get water and my other beverage! Also I don’t know how to move my seat so that I feel like I can see over the hood. So the good news is I have a rental car and I now know that I do not want a Jeep Compass when I am ready to upgrade my car! Haha

So my phone went crazy a couple days ago. The screen wouldn’t work unless I use the stylus. It is very annoying! Well yesterday morning even the stylus wasn’t working! After I had coffee with Pierce I went to the T-Mobile store on Sycamore and summer creek. They were all so friendly. The manager guy and the lady helping me, her name was Grace. I stood right there with them, joked around and chatted! She was friendly and helpful. So I decided to upgrade my phone and she gets one out of the back and it won’t scan. They tried on like 3 different machines and the computer won’t recognize it as in their inventory and if it isn’t in their inventory then they can’t sell it. The manager dude tells me that he knows the manager at the Clearfork location to check them out and he will call that guy while I am on my way. When I got there he told me that they told him I was coming but that the door to his store room is malfunctioning so he can’t do anything until the locksmith gets there. So I head toward my third T-Mobile store of the day. I went to the one on Hulen by Red Hot and Blue. The manager dude Noah was friendly enough but he handed me off to “Fern” who was not as friendly! It seemed like I was inconveniencing her. Luckily I had already done all the work with Grace. She told me to go sit on the couch and she did all the stuff on the computer across the room. Then when she was struggling to get the phone to go through the steps needed to set up the transfer I told her “the stylus works” and she said “yeah ok and?” I was like “you are struggling with the screen and the stylus works but go ahead and keep doing you!” She kept going, then she finally pulled out the stylus and guess what… It worked! Isn’t technology amazing! They were able to transfer EVERYTHING from my old phone. It was kinda creepy. The apps were all grayed out but they were in the place they were in on my old phone. As they loaded they turned to color. I tell you… neat, but kinda creepy! I have a new phone and it is mostly set up. I always forget how much I rely on my phone to keep my passwords safe and in order! 

I have always been a reader. I enjoy everything about it! During Covid I almost surprised myself that I was just not into reading. I didn’t need what books usually offer, you know the crazy out of this world situations. I was living it! Well I can tell that my mental health is doing a lot better. I lounged around Saturday and read. That is all I did. I curled up with a book and just spent the day reading! I couldn’t tell you how long that had been! So far this summer I have read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Heaven is for Real, Left Behind and I am currently reading “The Testing” by Joelle Charbonneau. I highly recommend it if you are into dystopian kinda books! I am kinda regretting that I only got book one of the series. I also bought the first Percy Jackson Book. I haven’t read those either. My goal is to read the Percy Jackson one and The Kite Runner. We shall see what other ones I read but those are the next ones on my list. 

Have you heard of bullet journaling? I have talked about it here. It is just basically a place for me to keep up with all my lists and notes. I am getting ready to set up my new one for the school year. I am excited, trying to come up with something to put on the first page, and what lists I am going to make. It makes my little nerd heart so happy! 

Well I am going to go read or work in my bullet journal or maybe just watch some netflix! Haha I hope that everyone has a great rest of the week! Stay cool out there. I read on one of the meteorologist facebooks that we are going to have over 100 degree weather for a couple weeks!
