Hello! I hope that everyone is having a good week! This morning was an interesting one for sure! I had a faculty meeting and it was benchmark day. That is a lot going on in the morning. So i thought “self, I think I’ll get up early, stop at starbucks, Get to work early enough to get my materials before the faculty meeting!” That was the plan! I set the alarm and I was actually asleep before 10:30! I woke up a little before 5 and ended up just laying in bed scrolling the interwebs. I got a message from my cousin’s husband. I mean yes technically my cousin too but you know what i mean. Anyway this is our conversation:

Manuel: Hello

Me: Hi

Manuel: How are you doing? 

Manuel: Not fine.(I am pretty sure he confused himself because I didn’t ask how he was!) 

Me: I’m good. What’s up?

Manuel: I need 60$ can you cashapp i’ll pay back once I got my check tomorrow morning

Manuel: Please I’ll we pay back

Me: What’s going on?

Manuel: I need the funds

Manuel: can you lend me

Manuel: How pay back

Manuel:Please

Me: What’s going on, is everyone ok?

Manuel: No fine. 

Me: who’s not fine

Manuel: me

Manuel: I need 60 bucks

Manuel: i want to text my new cashapp

Manuel: my old cashapp got hacked. 

Me: Have your wifey call me! Now!

Manuel: what she says

Manuel: ??

Me: Or I’ll call her..

Manuel: Please can you lend me

Manuel: I’ll playback tomorrow morning

Manuel: Did you got cashapp

Me: Dude why are you up so early? I’ll call the wifey… I don’t mind lending yall the money but I need to talk to her to see what’s going on

Manuel: Okay hun

Manuel:But you got the cashapp

Manuel:???

Me: Is it one of the kids?

Manuel: not

Manuel: it’s me

Manuel: Manuel

Manuel: Let me send the cash app tag

Me: ok, But why? What’s going on? 

Me: talk to me here Manuel

Manuel:I want to send the funds to my mechanic now cause I need to get my truck out other

Manuel: but have not funds rii now till tomorrow morning

Me: Dude what time is it right now?

Manuel: Pass 3

me: what does that even mean?

Manuel: 3AM 

Me: How is your mechanic even open right now? 

Manuel: No is going to store early as possible tomorrow morning before 9 to get the engine cause I alreasent him 360$

Manuel: 60 bucks is the remaining funds

Me: Where are you? Are you not home?

Manuel:M home now

Manuel: it’s my mechanic that called me

Manuel: before I text you

Manuel: About the funds if you can lend me

Manuel:unfortunately is gonna be on is way before 9

Manuel: and I need to paye the funds now

Manuel: Did you got cashapp

Me: Well I have to go to work. I’ll call the wifey on the way to work and things up with her!

Manuel: Maybe I should forward is cashapp tag to you so you can send the funds

Manuel: Thanks

Manuel: Much love

Me: You shouldn’t need it for a few hours….

Manuel: no now!

Manuel: Lemme send the cashapp tag

Me: No… If I can do it I will wait and talk to the Wifey and it won’t be till I go to work at 9ish

Manuel: Louchezgy (the cashapp handle thing)

Me: Who the heck is Lloyd?!

Manuel: She’s slept already

Manuel: Lloyd is the mechanic

Me: no way dude If I am sending you the money it is going to one of you not him. 

Manuel: No it’s my mechanic

Manuel: Send it there

Me: Like I said I will call the wife on my way to work and talk to her

Manuel: My wife have my cashapp login shes gonna think maybe we have something together

Manuel: just send it to my mechanic

Manuel:I don’t want to fuck up with my wife

Me: haha Ok so I am reporting this conversation! Good luck scamming other people out of their money! Toodles

Manuel: No! It’s me!

Me: No it’s not and I will tell you how i know: 1) the time there would be 4 not 3! 2) You would never ask me for money 3) you are my cousin and you and I both know that your wife would never “think we have something together” 4) we are states away from each other… So on that note I am reporting you and getting ready for work! Bye! 

I then texted my cousin to make sure it wasn’t in fact him looking for money! Haha I mean if they actually needed 60 bucks to get their truck fixed I would be willing to help but I am not about to give some random guy access to my money! Haha To think that all happened before 5:30 this morning. I am so intrigued by this tactic. I mean obviously people send them money because you want to help but it upsets me that is what we have come to in 2022! You know!? 

So back to the interesting morning. I bought a new straightener the other day and I am not sold on it! I don’t know, It is one that looks like a brush and the bristles get hot. They are actually ceramic. Then you like brosh through your hair. So the problem is that the ends look a hot mess. I can’t add enough pressure on the ends without touching the hot part. Maybe I just need more practice. This is the first time I used it. But we shall see. Do any of you have one? Do you love it? Do you hate it? I have so many hair drying and straightening tools but I am just not sold on anything. 

So after my hair was done I went to get dressed. Pierce gave the cutest Mardi Gras Llama t-shirt. So I went to put it on and there was a hole on the seem I stuck my finger through it. I stared at it and I thought “self, I know how to fix this” I really should have put my contacts on first but that is a different story! I took down what I thought was a sewing kit tin from the closet and it was full of embroidery thread! It hit my heart a little. My grandma always had an embroidery project sitting by the couch. She taught me how to embroider on one of our summer visits. It would take a little refresher but I am sure I could do it again! I reminisced for a moment then I went and found a needle and some thread. I sewed up my little hole but my grandma has been on my mind all day! 

I stopped for gas, for coffee, for a sausage egg mcmuffin and made it to school before 8! I was able to pick up my bucket and still make it to the meeting on time! This has been an exhausting day but I am headed to Kim’s house to play some games! We have one more day of testing tomorrow but I won’t need to be at school as early because there isn’t a faculty meeting! Night yall!!
