The Chronicles Of Nay

Happy Friday! I hope that everyone is staying warm and is ready for the weekend! I know that I am ready! I tell you 4 day weeks are almost always harder than regular 5 day weeks. This week had the added bonus of an ice day! So really I only worked 3 days! However, today was emotionally exhausting. This week didn’t have a lot going on yet it did! 

Most of you know that I do online dating. This week has been exceptionally strange for the online dating category! I had a guy that asked about me wanting kids. I honestly told him I don’t know. I work with other people’s children all day. Some days I come home and can’t imagine having to take care of one at home. He thanked me for my honesty then it was his turn to be honest. He told me that if he wasn’t going to have kids he wanted an open-minded relationship. I was pretty sure I knew where he was going but I wanted him to say it. So I asked, “what do you mean by that?” He basically said that if he didn’t have kids he wanted to have a swinger lifestyle. I just responded with I guess I am closed minded good luck to you! I have another guy that emails me every couple of weeks asking if I drink, drive, smoke weed and like my feet rubbed. There was another guy that just randomly told me that if I wanted a great orgasm to come on over.  Then there was Mr. Scammer. This guy I had been talking to for a few days. I started to get a little skeptical of him so I told him let’s get together tomorrow for coffee. He kept telling me that he was a contranted engineer that was deployed to the base in Fort Worth. I was like hey dude that’s cool let’s just get together. He kept telling me that he needed to get a permission to leave the base and that was going to cost him money. He told me that he didn’t have access to his money as long as he was on the base and that he couldn’t get off the base without money. WE talked a little more before he asked me to get him $200 so that he could leave the base and he would pay me back when we met. I was like nah dude that’s cool. Go scam someone else. Then he got all offended and told me that he couldn’t believe that I thought he was just going to take my money! So as you can tell online dating is going amazing! 

Here are some things I learned this week. 

1. You have to remember to tell people how much you appreciate them instead of always just singing their praises to others. They need to hear it sometimes too! 
2. I didn’t know Dolly Parton wrote I will always love you! I highly recommend the dolly parton documentary on Netflix
3. Gabbana doesn’t like blackberries, strawberries or watermelon (this was an old fact but I felt like it went here) 
4. If you give people an inch they’ll take a mile
5. I need to learn more idioms in Spanish (are they called idioms in spanish?) 
6. Even though penguin is my favorite Batman villain.. Michael Keaton is not my favorite Batman. 
7. Three hour naps are glorious
8. I don’t know how I feel about the fact that when a show or a movie ends hulu just randomly picks from your list and starts playing something else.
9. I miss impromptu game nights
10. I miss actual winter. Or maybe just the consistency of knowing what to wear! .
11. I completely underestimated how much the students actually want to be at school
12.  I can’t help but make a joke about how hot it is anytime I walk into a room with a fireplace on the tv (Or promethean board!) 
13. Dragon fruit Fanta is not half bad.
14. Food allergies never get easier to deal with!
