How big is an ostrich?

Happy Wednesday! How is everyone doing? I hope you are doing well. Last week went by so fast and this week has felt like 42 days long! I was able to purchase some lab materials with a purchase order so that was good. I bought all of the white frosting, package starburst and plain graham crackers that the local Kroger had! I am coming up on one of my most passionate units. The earth unit has a lot of really good labs that make it more interesting and interactive. The kids like it too but it might also have to do with them getting to eat the labs! Haha I was up super early for me. I had to take the purchase card thing back. I am ready for bed and it’s only 7:30!

The mouse saga continues. Since I have nearly $300 worth of edible science materials I do not feel comfortable leaving them just laying around. I had to acquire plastic containers that are mouse proof in order to keep my graham crackers safe! The faculty was very nice to lend me containers to secure the goods!

This week has been exhausting! So yesterday I was laying on the couch staring off into space and occasionally scrolling around the internet when I saw something that said if you wanna feel out your friendships text them random questions. Extra points if they just answer and don’t ask why. I asked a large selection of people “How many ostriches could you fit in your bedroom?” The responses were fun! I love the fact that not one of my friends asked me why, they just answered my question!  I got one “oh lord” I got one person that asked me if I was high but not 1 why! I had some people that thought really hard about it. Like they wanted to know if they were alive or dead, adults or babies. So based on my friends’ responses I have absolutely no perspective of how many would fit in a room. I was told 5, 6, 20, 24, or 30. I got at least 45, and at least 50. Then if they were packed, squished, shoved in closets, standing on the bed, standing still, standing with no room to move or someone got rid of some furniture then they could fit 4 (maybe 5),14, 20, 25, or 48. One person told met that they don’t fuck with large birds so they wouldn’t have any birds in their bedroom.  So after talking to my friends I am having a very hard time with perspective. Either some of my friends have Gigantic rooms or tiny rooms or we all have different perspectives on the size of an ostrich.

Here are a few random facts about ostriches: There are 2 different types: the common ostrich and the Somali ostrich. The common ostrich can stand from 5 ft to 9 feet tall and can run about 55 km/hour. They can run in bursts of about 70 km/h. The Somali ostrich has a blue neck and it becomes bluer during mating season.

Well it’s Wednesday night pool league so I should go pay attention and be supportive or whatever! Haha Y’all have a good evening. If you want a good laugh send a random question to your friends and see how they respond!
