The Chronicles Of Nay

Hello hello hello! I hope that everyone had a great Christmas! I hope that everyone spent time with family or friends or did something that they loved! I didn’t make it to my family this year but I have such a large network of friends in the area that didn’t allow me to spend the time alone. There were many invitations that I turned down but I want everyone to know that I appreciate everyone of you that invited me! Side note I have a crazy number of friends named Kim! I spent Christmas day with 2 of them playing games, eating food and laughing! 

I have been thoroughly enjoying my break! I have spent lots of time just vegging on the couch.I started Once upon a time again. I was working my way though Suits but I lost interest. I started a couple random things but went back to Once upon a time. I have had many meals with friends and I did an entire 1000 piece puzzle. It was a Christmas gift and I love it. Those of you that don’t know I collect Teapots and this puzzle has teapots! I am so excited I am going to frame it and hang it in the kitchen! 

Something happened to me last week that I am surprised to tell you has actually not happened as many times as I would think! Haha Growing up in a small town when someone says meet me Si Senor. You say ok! Y’all pick a time and go. Living in a much larger place the conversation of “which one” happens often! However, what normally doesn’t happen is you agree to one and you show up and your friend is at the other one because she forgot y’all agreed to a different one! That happened last week. I was going to try to get another hole in my year so I was ready to meet her at the Mexican Inn off of camp bowie. She texted me that she was already there. I have been really bad about running on Mexican time this break so she for sure beat me! I told her I was on my way in, I walked in and looked around and saw no one familiar. There was a giant group of people taking up most of the central area. I called her not necessarily to see if I was missing her but to ask her which Mexican Inn she was sitting in. She answered and I asked which one she went to. She was on Hulen! It made me laugh because I picked this one because it was less travel distance for her. I should have known when she told me she was at Lowes and Target which are closer to the hulen one. These are just things you don’t think of when you grow up in a small town! 

Something that I have not done over break is work. My grades were done that first weekend going into break. I haven’t done anything work related. Our district has what they call flex hours. So they give us like a day off a month, it usually falls on one of the holidays they don’t want to actually give us off, and it is called a flex day. So they require that we get 30 flex hours or they dock your pay. Those “monthly days off” are supposed to be days that we can get those Professional development hours in. My frustration is that if you have been in the district long enough it is basically the same training just called something else. The district wants us to use district training only but there is a lot of good stuff offered outside of the district! Then they told us if we have already taken something then the hours won’t count this year, but why am I having to sift through stuff to make sure I didn’t take it last year. Offer us more! Ok i’m sorry… I am finished venting. Back to the point. I registered for 27 hours and I have done exactly 0 of them!! I need to pick a day this week and just bust out as many of them as I can. I know that is not the intention of it but it is hard to put your heart into something that you don’t find value in. 

Well I am going to get back to trying to figure out what is wrong with my camera chip so that I can send Heidi some pictures I took months ago. I hope that everyone has a great last week of 2021. Be ready for my 2022 blog coming later this week!
