Wreck this JOurnal

Happy Sunday! I hope that everyone is having a good weekend! My weekend has been pretty chill. I watched a couple more movies but I started a new series. If you have Hulu I recommend 11.22.63. It is a mini series based on the book with the same title by Stephen King. It was my first King book I read. It isn’t like some of his other ones. I mean don’t get me wrong the book was better but the series isn’t bad. I am not finished with it but I am enjoying it. It is about a guy that discovers a portal to the past and goes back in time to try to prevent the JFK assassination. I recommend reading it or checking out the series.

So one of the things that I missed during the panda-nemic was being able to sit inside starbucks and watch people, sit and do me. I sometimes work on my blog, sometimes I color, sometimes I work on work, sometimes I work on my wreck this journal. I tend to make friends with the baristas since I end up going to the same one and as my mom puts it I have never known a stranger! haha Now that Starbucks are opening up again I am able to get back to that. It has been nice.

Yes I am aware that I can do all of those things at home. However the one thing that starbucks has that my house doesn’t have is people. Part of why the panda-nemic was tough on me was because I am a people person. I did a lot of things to try to stay in contact with people but that is no substitute for people! Texting, phone calls and zoom meetings were nice but it was not the same! Before the panda-nemic I was not a hugger, I have joked that since I went so long without people I will never again turn down a hug! haha Even if I am keeping my distance in the starbucks I like to watch people. It seems like something so little but today as I am sitting here there is a guy that is clearly just as starved for conversations. There are two young ladies I am assuming sisters both doing their own thing on their computers or phones yet talking to each other sporadically. There is a guy that has been here just as much as me and he dresses in a suit and usually sits and works on his computer or just reads. Then there is a lady that is updating her resume and writing some sort of paper. The crew working today are all different people than the people that I have seen during the week. The manager guy has been sitting talking with the manager seeming people all week. This, this is what I have been missing!

Any way back to where I was going with this. Have you ever heard of a wreck this journal? It is a doodler’s heaven! So I recently got another one. It is set up as a book but each of the pages have directions on how to destroy the book. I recently just finished the page that said “cover this page in circles” so I did. I made circles of different colors and sizes on it. Some of the pages are a little strange like lick here or chew this. I will say though that it pushes you a little. I don’t think of myself as very creative but the pages help. Some of the pages push you to think outside the box a little. Like one that says to wash one of the pages in your pocket. Some of the pages seem very straightforward and I end up overthinking it. I highly recommend this for anyone! I got mine on amazon but I have seen them at Walmart or Barnes and noble. Here is a link to it on Amazon. They have ones with different covers and they actually have different volumes that have different things in them. The best part is you don’t have to have a lot of time and you don’t have to be creative! https://www.amazon.com/Wreck-This-Journal-Black-Expanded/dp/0399161945/ref=sr_1_4?crid=2GYCVQIIYFZHV&dchild=1&keywords=wreck+this+journal&qid=1626648847&sprefix=wreck+this+%2Caps%2C216&sr=8-4

Well I am going to work on the page that suggests I draw a nonstop line in my wreck this journal and drink way more coffee than I should! Haha
