July Update

Hello, I hope that everyone is doing well! I am sorry that it has been so long since I have blogged. A lot has happened yet nothing really has happened! Haha Let’s say a lot of time has passed! The last time I blogged I wrote a thank you note to my dad so let’s go back to the one before that. Let’s see what I have been up to in the past month…

Well we got to play pool for 2 whole weeks before the state shut down bars again. It was so nice to see my friends and teammates. I miss them. The longer that we are living our lives like this the more I realize the need for extracurriculars! I realize every day how much I miss having normal conversations with people. Conversations that don’t have anything to do with how school is going to start, or who has the rona, or the newest information about wearing a mask. I want to get back to some form of normalcy. I want to get groups of people together to go to brunch, or play games or run errands with people.

At the beginning of the month I snuck away for a little while. I packed up the dog and we headed west! We spent almost 2 weeks away from home and it was a much needed little getaway. While we were away we got to see some family. Gabbana got to meet and be spoiled by my parents. I got to sit by a fire, we didn’t make any smores though!  We watched some fireworks and meet new people.  It was a break that I needed and Gabbana just got to be a part of it! Haha With all this quarantine and being isolated I really needed some mom time so I was very grateful that I gotta see her!

While I was away I got to do some more geocaching! It has been so much fun. I have found some really cool hiding spots, I have found some that were in some tricky spots, and I have finally found the one at the walgreens. It was there I just wasn’t reaching high enough. I found my 100th cache on June 30th! I was so excited. Since then I am up to 134 and I think I am ready to place my first one. I have the container and a general idea of where I am going to put it. I am very excited to actually place it. I keep setting out to do it then it doesn’t happen. It will happen. Maybe this weekend!

So if you know much about me you know i enjoy taking pictures. It is a hobby I have been into for years. It is something that I always come back to. When I first moved to Texas I Bought my first DSLR camera. It was a Canon Rebel something or rather. Almost 11 years ago (yeah I have been here 11 years!) When I bought the camera it was a pretty awesome camera. Now it’s not bad, there are just newer ones out there. The one I started with was about 12 megapixels and the one I just got is about 24. So right off the bat the pictures are more clear. I switched over to a Nikon. I haven’t noticed anything super different between the two. I don’t know if the differences are just the updates or the different brand. What I can say I am enjoying getting back into taking pictures! Haha I have a project I have been working on for about a year and it should be finished in the next couple of weeks and I am so excited to share it with y’all. Here are a few of the pictures I have taken recently!

Well I think that is all I have for you for now. I am going to head to bed! I hope that you have a great weekend!
