The Chronicles Of Nay

Hello! How is everyone! I hope everyone is doing well, is healthy and is as sane can be! This has been a difficult time for everyone. I am no exception. If you know much about me, you know that I am hardly ever home. Haha You know that I am always with someone doing something. It has been very hard being away from my friends and all the activities that I do. Don’t get me wrong, everyone has been a phone call or a text message away which has been great! I appreciate everyone that has reached out to me when I wasn’t quite feeling or acting myself. Thank you. I have had to find new ways to stay sane.

One of the ways that I have stayed busy during coronacation is Netflix. Since all this started I have watched, from season 1 to the last season on Netflix, The office, Grey’s Anatomy, Tiger King, Madame Secretary, Schitts Creek, Unorthodox, and I am currently on the second season of Once upon a time.  I had to take a break after a few seasons of madame secretary because it was kinda intense. I was having dreams of bombings and war. That is basically what that show is about! I ended up watching schitts creek during that break. I bought a projector and am currently watching all of my Netflix-a-thons off of the wall in my bedroom!

I also took a google academy class online trying to get some professional development hours. One of the things that it asked me to do was to create a pet resume. I had a lot of fun with that! If you use the old school method of texting that phone number spells out Bow wow woof

So, another thing I have done while I have been locked up in my house is, I have been asking some of my friends a series of questions. It started on facebook and then it migrated to text messages. Some of these are questions that I ask my students at the beginning of the year to get to know them and some of them are just interesting questions to ask your friends. So, here are all the questions and my answers.

2. If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life what would it be?
   1. Grandmas cooking
3. If you could have any superpower what would it be?
   1. The ability to make people happy, like make their souls happy.
4. What is your favorite scent?
   1. Honeysuckle
5. If you could live anywhere (fictional or real) where would it be?
   1. My grandparents old home at the base of the Jemez mountains in New Mexico
6. If you could have one meal with anyone (fictional or real) who would it be? Bonus question: what would y’all have?
   1. Another meal with my grandma Cordy, I would ask her so many questions and ask her to teach me how to make her dinner rolls.
7. If you could be any color what would you be?
   1. Lime Green
8. If you could change your name to anything what would you change it to?
   1. When I was a kid I wanted my name to be Jennifer. But now, I like my name
9. What is your favorite time of day? Why?
   1. Sunrise, it’s like a fresh start, a new beginning.
10. You can have unlimited supply of anything what would it be?
    1. Washi tape! Or pens
11. What is your favorite ice cream topping?
    1. Sprinkles
12. When you were a 6^th grader what did you wanna be when you grew up?
    1. I have wanted to be a teacher forever! There was a short stint that I wanted to be a dolphin trainer but mostly a teacher!
13. What is the nicest thing anyone has ever said to you?
    1. The words “I am proud of you” always melts me. Especially if it is coming from someone that I look up to.
14. What is your greatest accomplishment?
    1. Earning the secondary science teaching chair this year
15. What is something that really upsets you?
    1. When people feel like they don’t have to follow the rules, and even more, when they get away with it.
16. What is something that makes you laugh?
    1. My brother
17. What is your go to karaoke song?
    1. Just about anything by Eminem.
18. What do you listen to in the car?
    1. I have a play list called “morning mix” and it is usually playing… at all times of day!
19. Do you like surprises? Why or why not?
    1. No, I like to be in control. I don’t like the unknown.
20. How many pillows do you sleep with?
    1. 3: one for my head, one that I hug and one that kinda just moves around the bed all night
21. What is your nick name?
    1. I have gone by Nay most of my life
22. What is your favorite holiday?
    1. Sounds cheesy but the holiday where I spend it with my family.
23. What do you collect?
    1. I collect tea pots
24. Do you sleep with a top sheet? Why or why not?
    1. If it’s on the bed sure I will use it but I usually don’t put one on. I end up tangled in it.
25. What is your death row meal?
    1. Moms green chili chicken enchiladas
26. What’s the best joke you ever heard?
    1. I love jokes! I love a good pun… I can’t pick just one joke!
27. What’s your most prized possession? Why?
    1. I have my grandma Cordy’s bible
28. What’s the best advice you have ever received?
    1. The kids don’t care what you know if they know you don’t care.
29. If you could do anything other than what you are doing now work wise what would you do?
    1. I would own a coffee shop. I have so many ideas!
30. If you see a puddle on the ground, do you walk over it or around it?
    1. If it’s warm, I will go through it.
31. What was your all-time favorite Halloween costume?
    1. One year my mom made me the penguin from the 1992 batman. It was awesome I had the umbrella and she made me webbed hands and everything. My brother was batman that year.
32. How long is your “now”?
    1. Between right now and 30 minutes… anything after that it’s “in a bit”
33. Do you make a wish on fountains or birthday candles?
    1. I don’t… I don’t know when I stopped either. Just don’t.
34. Do you play any instruments?
    1. Nope, I can’t even sing!
35. What is your favorite book or movie genre?
    1. A suspense/thriller/ psychological thriller.
36. What do you consider to be your best find?
    1. My confidence in who I am
37. What fictional place would you most like to go?
    1. Hogwarts!!
38. How do you relax after a hard day?
    1. I like to spend time with people that make me laugh while playing games.
