The Chronicles Of Nay

So if you have been on social media at all lately I am sure you have seen the hashtag #clearthelist. Most teachers spend so much of their own money every year getting classrooms ready for the students. I am no different. We don’t do it for any other reason but to help keep the kids engaged and to help build the best learning environment for our students. I wasn’t going to post a list because you are all so great about helping out when I ask for the little things throughout the year! But the more I thought about it and the more I went through my “Wishlist for my classroom” that I have been keeping for a while I realized that some of the stuff has been on there because I prioritize things I need for lessons or just for everyday classroom functions over student incentives. Some of the stuff on the list is just stuff I saw and was like “ooo self, that would be fun to have in class!” then never bought it. Some of the stuff is stuff that we go through a lot of in class. but here are a few things that I would love to have. If you are able and want to help a teacher out I would be very grateful and appreciative of anything that you are able to gift!

If you would prefer not to or aren’t able I completely understand but I have one more request, gift or not; will you pray for us. The teachers that we go to work every day, stay healthy and remember why we are there, to educate the minds of the future. The students that they come in to class everyday and see an adult that loves and cares about not only the test scores but the adult that child is going to grow in to. The administrators, The counselors, the nurses, the cafeteria works, the bus drivers and the security guards… all of the adults that come in to contact with the students. Pray that we are exactly who the students need in their lives. That we are caring and compassionate and as we go in to this year that all the adults will be reminded why we got in to teaching, the students!
