I should be working on the yearbook. The deadline is Monday. Grades are also due next week. I have so much to do this holiday weekend! Haha but here is a blog for ya!

So, I feel super boring because lately all I have talked about is yearbook and online dating! Haha but…. Here are a couple online dating stories for your reading pleasure! Note all the stories have happened since the last blog I wrote! haha So 1^st up, the guy that was living with his “ex-girlfriend” texted me a couple days ago to tell me “he missed talking to me”. I responded asking him if he was still living with his girlfriend and he never answered… I take that as a yes haha.

Next up we shall call David. So, David and I were talking for a few days on the website so we exchanged numbers, things were going well. Then he says “my son loves those” I was like “wait hold on… your son? Your profile says you don’t have kids.” He said “haha yeah I have two. A 10-year-old and a 4-year-old” I was like “oh so your profile is wrong? Or you just lied?” his response was “haha nah that whole profile is just laced with sarcasm. And you would be amazed how many girls don’t wanna talk to a guy with kids” I just don’t understand!? So, lying to them is better!?! I don’t get it! I mean if someone asks you if you have kids and you tell them no when you do that is a lie. It’s only sarcasm if you are carrying a child and someone asks you “oh you have a kid” then the “nope I stole this one” is sarcasm! Telling strangers that you don’t have kids when you do is lying. I mean… am I wrong?

This happened twice… story three: like 3 days later I was talking to another guy and he said “well I was married (that was in his profile so that didn’t throw me off) I did the husband dad thing but it was a bad relationship” I was like “wait dad?” he said yeah we had a kid together but I had to just get away from the toxic relationship. But my son lives in California with his mom” again I point out that his profile says he doesn’t have kids. His response was a little different. He said “well he won’t be part of anyone that I am with because I only see him every 3 months. It happened a long time ago and besides most people over the age of 28 have at least 1 kid.” I agree, many people my age have children, I am not expecting that everyone that is single my age not to have kids because I don’t. I just don’t want to be lied to. If he is lying on his profile about that what else is he willing and actually lying about?

So, the final story for you happened just today. Yesterday I started talking to, let’s call him, Charles. We were talking getting to know each other. So this afternoon I was sitting at Starbucks working the yearbook minding my own affairs (I hope you laugh at my word choice in a moment) when I received a text message from “Charles” here was the interaction.

“Charles”: Do me a favor and don’t text this phone anymore he is not single take your single ass somewhere else.

Me: Whoa! Calm down…. He is on a dating site! I don’t need this drama!

“Charles”: Well he’s taken but he’s about to be homeless I don’t play this shit

Me: Haha you go girl!

Charles: I wasn’t trying to hid anything from my kids mom but hey you chose your side. You seemed really cool too. It was nice meeting you

Me:  

(haha get it affairs! haha)

Well, back to the drawing board! Haha Call me a horrible person but I have a few irons in the fire! Haha I mean we will see if they even get to the “meet” stage! Haha well back to the yearbooking!
